Find Linux applications with Linux App Finder
When I was making the migration from Windows to Linux one of the challenges is to find the Linux equivalent of the software that I use in my day to day activities. Luckily there is a web site dedicated to making this task easier. Check out LinuxAppFinder.com
Linux App Finder has a pretty extensive catalog of GNU/Linux programs. You can either browse through the complete list of applications in their database or use the handy search feature. Users rate the application and provide comments so you have good reference. The Alternatives page allows you to search for the Windows or Mac program in order to find Linux alternatives.
If you are unable to find a replacement program you may always use the forum so other users may help you find the application.
Registered users can submit applications, upload screen shots and rate the applications.
